The Regional Government of Andalusia has presented its first Reclaimed Water Strategy, a roadmap that includes more than €400M in investment to reinforce the use of non-conventional sources such as desalinated and reused water. The plan foresees reaching 180 hm³ per year of reclaimed water and 160 hm³ of desalinated water in just two years. This commitment is part of a broader strategy that has mobilized 2 billion in water infrastructure since 2019, with more than 100 projects underway. Andalusia thus seeks to guarantee water for the productive sector in a context of climate change and growing water stress.
