More than 70 companies and organizations — including Iberdrola, Microsoft, Moeve, and OIKOS — have launched the alliance España Verde y Conectada (Green and Connected Spain), an initiative seeking to make Spain an industrial and digital benchmark in Southern Europe. The platform calls for urgent measures such as strengthening electricity grids, administrative simplification, and favorable energy taxation to fully deploy the opportunities of renewables and digitalization. The position paper prepared by the alliance outlines a realistic roadmap to unlock strategic investments, promote green employment, and ensure territorial cohesion. At OIKOS, we support this alliance, which aligns with our vision of the immense opportunity for green reindustrialization within reach of our country if we take advantage of competitive renewable generation and work on improving grid connection and strengthening our electricity system.
