Perceptions of climate change and ecological transition in rural Spain reveal tension between the need for sustainability and the impact of environmental policies on local economies. While there is growing awareness of the climate crisis, many proposed measures generate skepticism among farmers, livestock breeders, and other rural actors, who see them as a threat to their way of life. The expansion of renewable energy, nature conservation, and restrictions on fossil fuels spark concern. In addition, political ideology significantly influences how these challenges are approached.
