Grid congestion represents one of the major bottlenecks to driving the decarbonisation of our economy through the electrification of supply and demand.
Therefore, OIKOS organized a meeting with the Regional Government of Andalusia to exchange views on the industrial opportunity of the energy transition, grid policy in an Andalusian key and its Spanish implications, and the electrification of the economy.
The meeting also gathered key actors in the energy transition such as Endesa, the delegation of Red Eléctrica de España for Andalusia, the Association of Large Energy Consuming Companies (AEGE) and companies focused on electrification such as Build to Zero. OIKOS also collaborated with the Spanish Green Growth Group to organize the meeting.
At OIKOS we believe in the importance of creating spaces for dialogue like this one to exchange reflections in areas as essential to the fight against climate change as driving electrification consistent with the industrialization of Spain's regions.
